me & julie (smileysquid) by the maruione x kera snap area~! the photog for this hella just washed everything out. i am wearing a yellow skirt that looks...white. this is saturday - i HAPPENED to spot julie because i recognized her shoes =D lol.

anyway, this weekend was a hell of a whirlwind full of literally: BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS, CURRY, and FootMassage Spas!! Oh yes, and EVIL MONKEY Underwear

my beloved: soopuhstar, crazyspork_i_am JOSH, JUSTIN FAILURE came down for AX and the visitation rituals of friends and family! That was fun.  Also hung out with my girl iamchubbybunny, OMFG daitenshi_dream is FINALLY BACK IN LA!!! <3~!! eronrauch, greg, laila_astri, saw neku_nikuin the MOST AWESOME steam get up, saw smileysquid in her epically cute dress, thevisual_beast, and countless other people (whoms LJs i can't remember at the moment!) ..sooo much fun and i was sooooo tired at the end of it. i should be sleeping as i need to start getting up at 6AM..but..really..this is me.

i was searching for pix from Saturday at AX as that was the day i was more dressy... but alas i only found this one lonely picture of Michelle & I from TODAY (Day 4) and 2 others of smileysquid and thevisual_beast

yesterday laila_astri called me and told me GLAY is having 2 shows here in AUGUST at the House of Blues. OMFG I HAVE TO GO. ITS A SIGN! i dye my hair blue and Hisashi comes to town!!! =D YAY I LOVE YOU HISASHI!! oh yea..and tess dyed my hair blue, purple, and yellow =D YAY.

MY FUCKING GOD! I WILL MELTTT seeing Hisashi T____T!!!
i just got home!! i ate too much beard papas!

I have done absolutely nothing today other than wander around campus and wait for 5PM. I waited in a good 2hr line at the parking office, only to wait in another line before walking over to Central Payroll. That took up about 3hrs of my morning.

i stopped by Elysee Bakery on the way to grab some much needed brunch and relaxing time. Elysee, a faux  Parisian cafe in Westwood. I love the pastries at Elysee, and the food is okay even though it's extremely pricey ($9bucks for an omlette!). However the pastries are what one REALLY goes for.

Anyway, I had myself a fairly good (but pricy) Spinach x tomato x scallion omelett and a fruit tart. I must have spent about and hour there just sort of spacing out and thinking. It really made me realize that times ilke these during the day - spent just watching people walk by, it's extremely relaxing. Also listening to the cliche La Vie En Rose while drinking my tea also helped.

I want to experience something like this more often. for once i felt happy, at 11AM - and relaxed. it's definitely true that we americans, especially here in LA often spend way too much time fussing and running about instead of taknig our time to "smell the roses" as they say. not that i'm not patriotic, i think Americans have their good aspects, as do other countries - i just think in this aspect (aside from over eating) we Americans fail.

in other news:

this little Asian girl is freaking cute.

this week or month rather, hasn't been off to a good start for me. i won't even get into it - but lets just say that i really don't want to talk to anybody of the male species today.

HOWEVER - times like these call for extremely obsessive hunting of my current anime obsessions - as it seems  anime boys are the only ones i really care for at the moment. this seems to be the pattern when i'm kind of down.. i get all daydreamer status and start letting my mind wander into a realm of exciting fantasy and phantasms.

i love it... combine 2 animes i really love and this is what you get Bleach x Naurto. Kudos to those who can name all the correct characters and who they're supposed  to be.

i've been moping to myself about the non-existence of guys like ichigo and naruto... ones who have a strong sense of justice, loyalty, cute -..
i guess that's why they don't exists..cause guys who are not necessarily perfect, but perfect for you - are always a figment of imagination.

THE VILLIAGE IDIOT:

totally went there last week with iamchubbybunny and Mr. Bradley the Alabaster Princess.
we got an awesome window seat due to michelle's ace negotiation skills (aka asking and whining just a little LOL!! JK)
We some some mighty tastey corn & avacado soup and a meat  pie.

so i'm pretty much set on going blue at this point. the biggest problem for me was deciding which blue and right now, the placement of my yellow, green(?), purple

i feel like i'll most likely keep my bangs punky yellow, and need to figure out the placement of a mixed green blue + yellow DUH? and i decided to go with Special FX Deep purple, and i'm going to hope that blue-haired-freak is my long lost hisashi blue. if The store doesn't have it i'll have to go with the other blue which i can't remember right now...mayhem or some shit. but ...

i will tell u the long lost tale of Hisashi blue (i realize his hair is BLACK here)

tomorrow michelle & i are doing ROOTS! ROOTS PARTAY! and i need to buy color stripper to get this color out of my hiarrssss...!!

was kind of emo last night and insomniatic. not that i feel that much better today - but i did look for something that made me remember something important.


all of life's lessons are found in anime. =) watching that again made me feel a bit better - in hopes that it's true. that we all feel a bit like we have nothing special but its simply because we can't see our own potential when looking at everyone else's. also thanks tess & michelle, sometimes it's nice to be reminded that i'm not so far behind my friends - cause i think both of you have a lot of talent (tess) and drive (michelle) and i envy that in people~!!! but perhaps it's all too true that our own expectations of ourselves are so idealised and etched in perfection that we work ourselves into a depression making it impossible for us to see our own good qualities.

never the less, i feel like a good cry after watching fruits basket alleviated some of my emo-boo-hoo-i-suck-at-life feelings.
